People using it as an objective source of film appraisal are the problem, not the site itself. All it does it better showcase what people who write reviews think about a given film or program. Life as a suffix is not easy let me tell youīut it's because it's essentially murdering film criticism by reducing complex discussion and analysis to individual 10 word soundbites and stripping all the rhetoric of its nuance through reduction to an arbitrary statistic.Īll it does is aggregate reviews that already exist in order to form a general consensus based on those reviews.
